I've been sitting on the fence for a while about the sims 3, and I honestly cant decide what I want to do.
I have to admit, I am quite excited about it. The more I see the more I want it. Some of the new details are just amazing! And I kinda like the way the new graphics look, and the built in creating tools sound great. But I'm, not ready to move on from the sims 2 yet, I'm just not.
I've had the sims 2 since the day it was released, I have all expansion packs (yep, from the day they were released too :) ), and I really love the game. I've worked hard to build Ashby Falls over the years, and finally have it a way that I really enjoy playing and writing about. .... So honestly, I dont want to leave it behind for the sims 3.
The main thing thats bugging me about it at the moment is that it comes packaged with a hood. I've never played the maxis hoods (and it fact deleted them in favour of the megahood). I have always made my own hoods. I dont think I could deal with all the maxis townies and buildings... and even the playables. I want my own.
Truth be told, I will buy the game. But I dont know yet if I will be moving on past the sims 2.
What are your thoughts on the sims 3?
Will you move on and start a FSBS sims 3 hood?

I'm not buying the sims 3. The sims 2 take up enough of my time as it is and RL is only expected to get even more full. I don't have all the SPs yet and haven't fully explored the EPs (I haven't gotten a genie, visited a hobby lot, etc).
ReplyDeleteI'm glad someone feels the same as me! I really am leaning more towards not buying the sims 3 altogether! I'm quite happy with the sims 2!
